About Paul LaRose

Paul has been involved in two successful church plants. He served as the Associate Planting Pastor at Harmony Tabernacle AG in Dallas, Texas planted in 2001.  There he developed strong Christian Education, Youth, and Discipleship programs from the ground up. The church started with just a few families and grew to over 100 people in the three years Paul served the church.  He most recently served as the Lead Pastor at New Harvest AG in Frankfort, Kentucky planted in January of 2003.  Before Pastor Paul became the pastor, the first two years for the church were very difficult.  New Harvest was “set in order” with 16 people and were averaging only 30 two years later.   Their two year net membership gain was 4.  The congregation voted out their founding pastor and were in desperate need of significant transformation.  Many members were distrustful, hurt, and some had already withdrawn their membership.  The church was built with good and passionate people.  They were eager to see people receive Christ and reach their community.  When Pastor Paul assumed the pastorate in February of 2005 the church was meeting in a very small storefront building.  They had no viable children’s, discipleship, or youth ministries. Pastor Paul and Farrah were able to stabilize the church and make significant improvements regarding the church finances, leadership structure, and ministry approach.  In just one year the church saw a substantial increase in attendance, giving, and membership.   In only three years, Pastor Paul was able to lead the church to a new Sanctuary including 23 acres on Highway 127, the second busiest State Highway in KY,  just south of I-64.  From 2008-2010, New Harvest was the fastest growing AG church plant in the Kentucky District.  After six years of tough transition and many obstacles, New Harvest now averages 150 people in weekly attendance!  The outreach events at New Harvest have served thousands of people in Franklin County and hundreds have received Christ as their Savior!  New ministries are constantly being birthed and implemented in an effort to live up to the mission statement “A vibrant worshipping church meeting needs.”

Pastor Paul LaRose served as the Christian Education/Discipleship Ministries Director for the Kentucky District Council of the Assemblies of God during 2007-2011. He was unanimously appointed by the District Presbytery in 2007.  At the time, the department was running a budget that drove it -$7,000.00 in the red.  In one year Pastor Paul was able to raise enough funds to eliminate the deficit and began building a workable budget.  In two years the Department was able to purchase thousands of dollars worth of multi-media curriculum and launch the KYAG Lending Library.  The Department has also led the District into online training and ministerial education.  Overall, Pastor Paul has been able to transform a struggling department into one of the most influential departments in the District Council through regional and state-wide conferences, workshops, and hands on training.

Paul and Farrah LaRose have relocated (August 2011) to Seattle, Washington to plant a new church.  They moved on faith with no job, no core team, and no plan.  They are currently building their core team and forming their vision and mission.  If you would like to partner in this church plant send Paul and Farrah a msg.  They would love to hear from you!
